In this post, I am just sharing how awesome our GOD is. I am not sure how many parts this will be however this is what I feel lead to talk about at the moment.
This is actually something talked about in the book of Psalms as doing with joy. I can start by showing you how good GOD is from his word. Might as well start with Genesis. First of all, GOD gave Adam and Eve everything they needed. Including unhindered fellowship with him. Oh, what a wonderful place that would have been. Also, Adam was even allowed to name the animals instead of GOD just telling him what to call them, now that is pretty neat if you think about it (Genesis 2:19). After Man had sinned and lost all of that wonderful stuff GOD still showed love to him ( Genesis Chapter 3). He could have just destroyed the Man and started again. GOD also showed kindness by not allowing them to eat from the tree of life. Now, this I might need to explain a bit. If GOD had allowed Adam and Eve to eat from the tree in the fallen state they would be in a pretty bad state. Something that some people want using technology, I mean people want to try and live forever in the fallen state. That does not at all sound like a good thing. Thankfully we have Jesus to undo the fallen state of Man and make us a new creation that is not in a fallen state. How wonderful is that?
Let’s keep going, now later when Cain sinned GOD still showed love or companion on him by putting a mark on him. GOD didn’t have to put a mark on Cain or even tell Cain that he would be avenged for someone killing him. Like wow GOD is very good. Now I have to mention that people do and have taken advantage of this goodness of GOD even in this case. Lamech, later on, had done what Cain did and said he would be avenged 70 times 7 (Genesis chapter 4). Jude talks about people turning the grace of GOD into lasciviousness ( Jude 1:4), which is what a lot of people do and as I showed it happened in the past as well. Like people thinking grace is a license to sin. It is not, in fact, if you love GOD you will not want to sin but to please him. Now we may not be able to do this perfectly and not on our own. We need GOD’s help. First of all, we need his help to know what pleases him and what does not. These are things he can teach us so I recommend reading his word and praying for him to teach you. Also, there are times when we face some pretty strong temptations and will need his help to overcome them. He even asks us to ask him or pray to him (Matthew 26:41) to be delivered from temptations. There have been many times in my life where I have had to turn to GOD in prayer to get help with some pretty strong temptations. I mean really strong temptations. Temptations that I was not able to overcome on my own but with his help only. Also showing how wonderful our GOD is. He can and does help us in times of need.
Fred, I am pretty sure that God is pleased with the way you are pointing His goodness out of the Bible. I like It, too. 😊👍🏻
Glad you like it. I may do more of these.
