Points to Ponder – by Ed Marton

These are from a friends facebook. He has left facebook and is hard to find. I think he has a youtube channel however I was unable to find that channel. When I search for him online I was unable to find any info about him I did however find others with this same name. They are not the same man. I suspect this friend has left all online activity but I don’t know for sure. Anyway these are really good messages from him and I had permission from him to post them.

Just make sure you’re not too busy scrutinizing, judging and bashing our leaders to pray for them.

True love, REAL love is a journey and a learning process, for it is written:

Galatians 3:24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.

And again it is written:

Ephesians 5: 21 Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.
22 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.
23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and He is the saviour of the body.
24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.
25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave Himself for it.

And yet again it is written:

Joh 13:35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

Lust is of the flesh, Attraction is instant and temporal, infatuation is shallow and fleeting, but love, love is eternal and anything eternal introduced into finite application, must be endured and learned.

When seeking direction and guidance from God, it is important to remember that oftentimes, a no, is just as much of a beneficial provision as a yes.

“little sins” ((as if there was such a thing)) are like little snakes, they kill you just as fast as the “big ones”… mainly because, well, they’re sin and that’s what sin does. Size has nothing to do with potency.

We have a choice to make, we will either leave our homes today on God’s side, and all of Hell will oppose us, or we leave our house on Satan’s side and God himself will oppose us. What kingdom will you submit to today and what forces will you strive with? We have promises in God’s word, one of those promises is “he who trusts in the Lord shall never be ashamed.” The other promise is “all that oppose the Lord shall be broken.”

God’s call on your life and His commands concerning how you treat others didn’t come with an “in case they…” clause! In fact according to Jesus’ example, it came with a “inspite of” clause. Need a couple “for instances”? Ok first off He washed Judas Iscariot’s feet and second, NONE of the other disciples knew it was Judas that would betray Jesus. As an ambassador, you’re not entitled to an opinion, unless it mirrors the One you represent. And as a forgiven sinner, you have no right in being offended (upset). That is of course, unless their offence, exceeds the ones you nailed Christ to the cross with.
